Big Green Theatre 2016

Hi All!

So, my favorite time of year has finally rolled around! It's BIG GREEN THEATRE TIME!! I have been super busy with Superhero Clubhouse this year and I've had the pleasure of working as a co-teacher in one of our schools. PS305 was my home from Jan-March and I couldn't be prouder of our group of 4th graders! The plays they've written this year are hilarious (as always), but so heart-felt and genuine!

We've started rehearsing this week and I'm just so thrilled to be working on their plays. Please save the date and join us at the Bushwick Starr:

BIG GREEN THEATER (BGT) is an annual eco-playwriting program and green theater festival celebrating environmental education, sustainability in the arts, and community enrichment. In our 6th year of BGT, our 4th and 5th grade student playwrights are tackling the theme of extinction.

*This year, thanks to funding from the Mental Insight Foundation, we were able to add a third leg of the BGT program by conducting a workshop for kids outside of the school system at Bushwick's El Puente. Learn more on our BGT Blog!

This program is supported in part by The New York City Council, Cultural After School Adventures (CASA) Program, the Reva & David Logan Foundation, the Mental Insight Foundation, the Puffin Foundation, and Con Edison

See you there!
